Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee`s "Frozen" emerged as the winner of the best animated film at the 71st edition of the Golden Globe Awards held here Sunday.
One of the three nominations in the category, "Frozen" is a musical fantasy movie, produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios.

"Frozen" narrates the tale of a fearless princess` adventurous journey to find her estranged sister, whose has the power to create ice and snow.
The film was in competition at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards with "The Croods" and "Despicable Me 2".
Disney's Frozen won the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature at tonight's Golden Globes ceremony in Hollywood.
This award positions the Disney musical as the front runner for the Oscar. However, it remains to be seen what nominees the Academy put forth (The Globes only considered Miyazaki's The Wind Rises for Best Foreign film - it didn't win).
Directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee accepted the award on behalf of the Walt Disney Studio. They gave a special thank you to John Lasseter and Ed Catmull.
